Fairweather Homes aim to promote a high quality and sustainable housing capability in the recipient community as an integral part of the housing project, through a specifically directed technology transfer program.

The Technology Transfer program is to establish a workable method for house construction, using the selected materials and available community resources, while considering the following factors:

• Technology transfer is planned over an appropriate period to allow the local input of skills and resources to develop toward a high quality operation
• Technology transfer takes place during full production to maintain economic sustainability and meet housing production targets
• Construction methods and materials are suitable for safe and economical implementation by the community workforce
• Material sources are dependable in regard to supply quality and quantity.
